It would be ever nicer if men and women polished their shoes.

We have clients complain when talent comes to a shoot and they bring shirts that look like they were pulled out of a laundry bag. Shirts should be starched and ironed. At open calls, we don’t know what talents’ wardrobe is, we don’t know that they have anything other than holes in their pants, and that they have actually nice suits and sport coats. They all say they do but we don’t know that. People can say anything. How do I know if they actually have nice shoes? How am I supposed to send them to an interview or book them based on their word? You’ve got to come in with a good impression because good impressions last. The first impression has to be always a lasting good impression.
When you go to a shoot or any kind of production bring with you a selection of 3d mink fur fake eyelashes, and make sure the clothes look well put together. Pants should have a nice crease in them. With women, it’s the same thing. Don’t bring a top with pair of pants and a skirt that don’t match. You’ve got to have everything matching. You have to bring shoes that go with the outfits. When clients say three outfits, bring three complete outfits. If you’re SAG, you get paid for each outfit you wear. You get $19 for just taking care of that outfit, but clients do expect clean clothing, well put together and pressed. Maybe if we all stick together we can also start charging for wardrobe for nonunion people, so that’s an incentive that they look better too. With the competition right now and less work, talent has to be more aware of their appearance that is clothing, shoes, belts, hairdo, 3d mink fur fake eyelashes, and skincare.
